At this time, I am not currently available for postpartum services. Being a full time birth doula and homeschooling my little ones does not allow me the time to take on this extra work. I will likely open these services back up in the future!
Postpartum doula services help to ease you into your new home lives with a newborn. Providing information and education on how to care for your newborn are part of these services, as are caring for the newborn and/or siblings to ensure that you as (a) new parent(s) has the opportunity to heal, rest, and recover. Basic assistance with breastfeeding is offered as well, and I can help you identify if you require any additional assistance from myself in the capacity of a breastfeeding counselor, or if it may be best to work with an IBCLC (which I ALWAYS recommend to anyone who can afford this service or have it covered by insurance!)
Emotional support & guidance, general tidying up, limited sibling care, and primarily REST & REASSURANCE for a new family are important to have in the early days! I can step in and provide this service hourly to those who need it, with lots of love and peace for your new family. Postpartum care will not include tasks that may be better suited for a housekeeper, such as house cleaning, or would be best fulfilled by meal prep or delivery services, or further suited for a childcare provider (such as a babysitter for older children.) My main focus as a postpartum doula is on the parent/baby dyad. I am happy to provide referrals for resources such as house cleaning, in home meal prep, or meal delivery services.
Available within a 30 minute drive of Canton, CT.
Daytime postpartum care books in sessions of 4 hours or more.
Overnight postpartum care books in sessions of 6 hours or more.
Postpartum care is best booked in advance, with a retainer to be sure my calendar is able to be accommodated to your needs. If you decide you want postpartum care AFTER baby has arrived, don’t sweat it! I’ll see if I can fit you in, and if not, I’m happy to direct you to another postpartum doula. My postpartum availability is currently very, very limited

If there are true financial concerns, please do not feel that you can’t have access to a doula! I accept payment plans and barters, and can always help you to find a trusted doula who can match your budget.
